At the event, the company will most likely introduce its next generation of foldable smartphones. Samsung usually launches two foldables every year. One is a book style foldable and the other is a flip phone. This year, the company is expected to expand its lineup and launch three foldable devices instead. The expected lineup includes the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. Reports suggest the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will feature a wider, passport-like design. Samsung has confirmed that it will launch the “next generation of Galaxy devices” at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which is scheduled for July 22 at 6:30 PM IST. You will be able to watch the event live on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom and Samsung’s official YouTube channel.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra specifications and features (Expected)

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to feature an 8-inch main display and a 6.5-inch cover display. Both screens may support a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone is said to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Furthermore, the device will likely be backed by a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast wired charging support.

For photography, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra may house a triple-rear camera setup, consisting of a 200MP primary lens, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. For selfies, you can expect a 10MP camera on both displays.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is rumoured to sport a 7.6-inch main display and a 5.5-inch cover display. The device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and pack a 4,800 mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support.

In terms of optics, you can expect a dual-rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide lens. For selfies, there could be a 10MP camera on both screens.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to feature a 6.9-inch main screen and a 4.1-inch outer screen. Both displays are said to support a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone may run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, and equip a 4,300mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging support.

For photography, the upcoming flip-style foldable will likely house a dual-rear camera setup, which may consist of a 50MP main lens and a 12MP ultra wide lens. On the front, you can expect a 10MP camera for selfies.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is expected to start at Rs 1,99,990 in India, and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 may start at Rs 1,74,999. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is likely to start at Rs 1,19,999.
