Samsung’s tri-fold smartphone, which is among the list of most anticipated devices of the year, may finally have a launch date. As per the reliable tipster Ice Universe on Weibo, the company could be planning to introduce the device, expected to be called the Galaxy Z TriFold or Galaxy G Fold, in the last week of September during an event in South Korea. As per the reports, the foldable will be getting a dual hinge design, popularly known as tri-fold, allowing the device to open into a larger tablet-style form factor.

Samsung Tri-Fold launch date (Leaked)

The device, as per the tipster, may launch on September 29 during an on-ground event in South Korea. However, the brand has not confirmed anything at the time of writing this article. The leaks also suggest that the device may first launch in its home country and could be followed by a launch in China in the coming months.

Samsung Tri-Fold price expectations

Further, the reports stated that the Samsung Galaxy Tri Fold could be priced over 4 million KRW (around $2,930 or Rs 2,52,524 approximately). With this price point, it seems it could be difficult for the brand to capture the mass market.

The leaks also suggest that Samsung may introduce the Project Moohan XR headset at the same event. It could make its way to retail shelves as Galaxy XR. The report further stated that the Galaxy XR headset could be priced at 2.5–4 million KRW (~$1,800–$2,000) and will go on sale in Korea starting October 13, 2025, before going global later.

Additionally, Samsung’s first AI-powered smart glasses, which may be called Galaxy Glasses, could also be teased. The report suggests the company may show an early version at the event, with wider release on cards.
