Samsung Galaxy S26 series price hike: South Korean smartphone maker Samsung launched the Galaxy S26 series in February this year. And it appears the leaks and rumours surrounding the price hike of the smartphones could become reality soon. The All India Mobile Retailers Association (AIMRA) shared an update on the pricing of the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra. As per the information, the lineup is set to get expensive by up to 17.05 per cent than its launch price.
SurveyWith effect from September 23, 2026, the starting price of the S26 will be updated to Rs 1,02,999. The S26 Plus and S26 Ultra could start at Rs 1,34,999 and Rs 1,54,999, respectively. Here are the variant-wise details for these models:

Samsung increases the price of Galaxy S26 series by whopping ₹25k:

Samsung S26 Price
Samsung Galaxy S26 (12GB + 256GB) will start from Rs 1,02,999, according to AIMRA’s document. This implies a hike of Rs 15,000 (17.05 per cent) from its launch price of Rs 87,999. The price of the 12GB + 512GB version will be updated to Rs 1,22,999 (earlier Rs 1,07,999).
Samsung S26 Plus Price
The S26 Plus’ 12GB + 256GB will now be available for Rs 1,34,999, implying a hike of Rs 15,000 from the previous Rs 1,19,999. The price of the 12GB + 512GB variant will be updated to Rs 1,54,999, compared to the previous Rs 1,39,999 tag.
Samsung S26 Ultra Price
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s starting price will be updated to Rs 1,54,999 (earlier Rs 1,39,999). The 12GB + 512GB variant will start at Rs 1,74,999. On both variants, the price has been hiked by Rs 15,000. Finally, the biggest hike is reported on the 16GB + 1TB variant. The new price will be updated to Rs 2,14,999, up from the launch price of Rs 1,89,999, implying a hike of Rs 25,000.

AIMRA Chairman Kailash Lakhyani said the price hike trend is “severely impacting” the buying behaviour of people. ”Consumers are opting for second-hand, refurbished devices, or servicing their old phones to delay new purchases, while many are holding back for festive offers. However, waiting may backfire, as today’s price is still cheaper than tomorrow’s rate,” he added.
