Xiaomi 18 series: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi announced its latest Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max flagships at the Snapdragon Summit 2026, the event where Qualcomm takes centre stage to launch its most premium chips for smartphones and other tech devices, among other announcements. Xiaomi also confirmed the devices will launch globally later this year after a China debut on September 23.
SurveyWhile the Xiaomi 18 Pro will get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, the bigger sibling will ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor for performance. The company markets the Pro for “efficiency” and the Pro Max for “performance”. Similar to the previous Pro models, the devices sport a screen on the rear. Here are more details about the devices.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, 18 Pro: What to expect
The 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected to ship with a 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch flat LTPO OLED displays with the side bezels measuring under 1mm. While the Pro could get a 7,000mAh battery, the bigger sibling could pack an 8,500mAh cell. Both devices could support 100W wired charging.
Xiaomi has already teased a dual Leica 200MP camera system, likely for the main and telephoto lenses. Both these cameras will likely also get support for Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The third sensor could be a 50MP ultrawide camera. Among the key highlights of the Xiaomi 18 series will be the Privacy Display, like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, to hide the contents of the screen.
Meanwhile, the latest flagships will serve as the successor to the current Xiaomi 17 Pro series lineup of devices. The company currently sells the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra in India. As for an India debut of the 18 Pro series, the company remains tight-lipped for now. However, we can expect the company to launch the Xiaomi 18 in the country. As for the Xiaomi 18 Ultra, tipster @That_Kartikey claimed the company could have scrapped the global launch of the device.
