Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge teased: Slim phone, dual rear cameras and what we know so far
At its Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, Samsung teased a new model named Galaxy S25 Edge.
This phone was previously rumoured as Galaxy S25 Slim.
However, Samsung didn’t reveal any specific details about its specs, pricing, or availability during the event.
Samsung hosted its Galaxy Unpacked event last night, where it unveiled the highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series. The lineup includes the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. But the event didn’t end there—Samsung surprised fans with a teaser for a new model, the Galaxy S25 Edge, previously rumoured as the Galaxy S25 Slim.
SurveyThe Galaxy S25 Edge was briefly showcased on-stage and on the show floor, giving attendees a glimpse of its sleek and thin design. The phone features flat edges, a flat display, and dual rear cameras, making it stand out from the rest of the lineup. However, Samsung didn’t reveal any specific details about its specs, pricing, or availability during the event.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge for select markets
A Samsung South Africa representative recently shed some light on the Galaxy S25 Edge’s availability. The representative told Android Authority that the Slim model (now confirmed as the S25 Edge) won’t be available in South Africa initially. Instead, it will launch in select markets, including the US and South Korea.
“So, we will have the Ultra, the Plus, the base model. That’ll be South Africa. There is a Slim model, not initially available here. It’ll be available in select markets,” the representative was quoted as saying in the report.
While the full list of regions is still undecided, the representative hinted at a phased rollout for the Galaxy S25 Edge. This means other markets might get the device in a second wave of releases, offering hope for fans outside the initial launch regions.

What to expect from the Galaxy S25 edge
Although Samsung hasn’t confirmed the specs, leaks suggest the Galaxy S25 Edge could be just 6.4mm thick, making it one of the slimmest phones in the Galaxy lineup. It’s rumoured to feature a battery capacity between 3,000mAh and 4,000mAh, a 200MP main camera, and a thinner periscope camera module.
While there’s no official launch date yet, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to debut several months after the rest of the Galaxy S25 series.
