The wait is over, Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy S25 series today in San Jose, California. The new flagship lineup, as expected, includes three smartphones – the Samsung Galaxy S25, the Samsung Galaxy S25+, and the high-end Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. The biggest change this year is that all three smartphones run on the same Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, unlike the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, whose base variants were powered by the Exynos 2400 chip in India.

Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25+ both feature an AMOLED display that supports 120Hz refresh rate. But, the Samsung Galaxy S25 has a 6.2-inch panel with FHD+ resolution and the Plus variant has a 6.7-inch panel with QHD+ resolution.
Moving on, both smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, which is a slightly clocked version of the S8 Elite chip. On the vanilla model, you get three storage variants – 12 + 128GB, 12 + 256GB, and 12 + 512GB. On the other hand, the Plus model comes in only two storage options – 12 + 256GB and 12 + 512GB. On the software side, both of them run on Android 15-based OneUI 7 OS.
For photography, you get the same camera system on both phones. There is a 50-megapixel main camera, a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens. For selfies, you get a 12-megapixel selfie shooter on both phones.
Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy S25 comes with a 4000mAh battery with 25-watt fast charging support, whereas the Galaxy S25+ is packed with a 4900mAh battery that supports 45-watt fast charging.
Price and availability
As for the pricing, Samsung has launched the Galaxy S25 in India at a starting price of Rs 80,999, which is Rs 1,000 pricier than last year. The Plus model is Rs 2,000 pricier this year, with a starting price of Rs 92,999.
Now, Samsung hasn’t revealed the sale date as of now, but the pre orders are starting from today, which includes benefits worth Rs 21,000. Moreover.
