Citing Ranjivjit Singh, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, Samsung India, a report says that the Galaxy A-Series phones, including the newly-launched handsets, will be available both online and offline.
Samsung unveiled these phones at three places and Digit was present at the launch in Bangkok. The Samsung Galaxy A80(₹ 47990 at amazon) features a slide-out and rotating camera mechanism, while the Galaxy A70 has a 32MP camera on both the front as its unique feature. Under the hood, the phone has the recently-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset along with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.
In the camera department, the Galaxy A80 ships with a triple camera setup which includes a 48MP camera sensor with a lens having f/2.0 aperture, an 8MP wide-angle sensor offering 123-degree field of view and a third 3D ToF sensor. There is an LED flash and a laser autofocus in the camera module, which rises from the back and then flips to become the front camera. The entire motion takes around 1.2 seconds to complete and looks quite cool.
The Samsung Galaxy A70 also features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a U-shaped notch, and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The rear panel is made of glass with a triple camera unit arranged vertically along the edges. The camera setup includes a 32MP sensor with a lens having f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens with 123-degree field of view and a 5MP depth sensor.
