After Nubia, Realme has also added a new 5G smartphone to its mid-range lineup in China. Called the Realme X50m, it is the third smartphone in the X50 series after the X50 5G and X50 Pro 5G. It is the same device that was spotted on TENAA by model number RMX2142 in the recent past.
The key highlights of the Realme X50m, apart from the affordable price, are its 120Hz refresh rate supported display, 30W fast charging, and a fully loaded set of cameras.
The Realme X50m has a big 6.57-inch IPS display with 120Hz refresh rate, full HD resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. A Snapdragon 765G chipset powers it, and there are 6GB and 8GB RAM options to choose from with 128GB storage standard on both.
The Realme X50m 5G has a 4200mAh battery with 30W fast charge support, which the company says can charge up to 70% battery in 30 minutes. Realme has favoured a side-mounted fingerprint sensor over an in-display solution.
While the display, chipset and battery are identical to the X50 5G, the optics get a significant upgrade. It has a dual-camera punch-hole design on the front and a 48MP primary shooter, 8MP wide lens, two 2MP macro and monochrome camera. It is a standard setup that we’ve seen on most lower mid-range smartphone lately. The rear camera is capable of shooting 4K at 30fps whereas the front only records up to 1080p video at 30fps.
It runs Realme UI on top of Android 10. The Chinese company has also worked on the audio that supports Hi-Res audio and Dolby panoramic sound effects.
The Realme X50m starts at RMB 1,999 (approx INR 21,500) for 6GB RAM and RMB 2,299 (approx INR 24726) for the 8GB RAM variant. It will be available in Starry Blue and Galaxy White colours.
The first sale of the Realme X50G commences on April 29 at 10:00 AM in china. Realme hasn’t shared any plans of making it available outside China yet.
