Panasonic aims to reach out to customers in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities with its latest low-cost Android quad-core phone, T40.

Panasonic has launched a budget Android smartphone called T40. Priced at Rs. 5990, the new smartphone supports dual-SIM, runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM.

The Panasonic T40 has a 4-inch display with 480×800 pixels WVGA IPS display. It has a 5MP rear auto focus camera with LED flash and 2MP front-facing camera. The smartphone comes with 8GB built-in storage, supports expandable up to 32GB via microSD.Connectivity options include, dual-SIM, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, microUSB and Bluetooth. The smartphone is powered by a 1500 mAh battery.
