Oppo may be looking to expand its Reno lineup before the end of 2019. The phone manufacturer launched the Reno 2 a few months ago and recently, it was reported that Oppo could launch the Oppo Reno S in India in December. However, according to the latest rumours, the company may be gearing up to launch the Oppo Reno 3. The Reno 3 could sport a quad rear camera setup. Furthermore, the Oppo Reno 3 could feature a 90Hz display and pack a 4500mAh battery.
The latest development comes from a leakster on Weibo. According to the leak, the Oppo Reno 3 may feature a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. It could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 735 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM. The handset could come in 128GB and 256GB storage options.
In the optics department, the Oppo Reno 3 is tipped to feature a quad rear camera setup: a 60MP primary lens + an 8MP camera + a 13MP sensor + a 2MP depth sensor. On the front could lie a 32MP selfie shooter. There is no information if the Reno 3 will feature a shark-fin pop-up module or not.
The Oppo Reno 3 could sport a 4500mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging support. The tipster also suggests that the Reno 3 will sport an in-display fingerprint scanner and come with 5G support.
As for the leaked pricing, Oppo Reno 3 is rumoured to be priced at CNY 3,299 (approx Rs 33,400) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB model. In contrast, the 8GB RAM + 256GB model could cost CNY 3,599 (approx Rs 36,400).
The Oppo Reno 3 is unlikely to launch before Qualcomm announces the new Snapdragon 7 Series 5G mobile chipset, which could happen by the end of 2019.
