OnePlus 7 Pro is receiving a new software OTA update.

The OxygenOS 9.5.6 brings camera improvements to the handset, along with the July Android security patch.

The new update for the OnePlus 7 Pro is being rolled out in a staged manner.

Soon after rolling out a new software update to improve the camera quality for its flagship OnePlus 7 Pro, the company is pushing out a new software update for its OnePlus 7 handset. The new OxygenOS 9.5.6 update for the phone aims to do some improvements to the phone in its camera and system section. In addition, it brings up the device’s Android security patch update to June, 2019. The company is optimising sensitivity of the automatic brightness feature, along with the audio quality of the handset. The photo quality has also been optimised but there are no details on what exact changes are being made. 

The update also brings some general bug fixes and improvements. As always, the new patch will be rolled out in a phased manner. So, users can expect to receive it in a few days, if it has not hit their device already. One can also check if it is available to download and install for their OnePlus 7 by heading over to Settings and tapping on the Software Update option. 

OnePlus 7 specifications

The OnePlus 7 features a waterdrop notch display design, similar to the OnePlus 6T, and is equipped with a 6.41-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED display with 60Hz refresh rate. Running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, the handset comes with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, Just like the Pro variant, the OnePlus 7 also gets dual stereo speakers.

Coming to optics, the OnePlus 7 Pro sports a dual-camera setup with a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor that is paired with an f/1.7 lens aperture. This main sensor supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Phase-detection autofocus (PDAF). There is also a 5MP secondary sensor, and the lens with this sensor has an aperture of f/2.4. The setup is assisted by a dual LED flash. On the front, it features a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor that is paired with an f/2.0 aperture lens. The handset is backed by a 3,700mAh battery that supports fast charging (5V/4A), and the phone features an in-display fingerprint sensor.
