OnePlus CEO Pete Lau posts OnePlus 5 screenshot, inadvertently confirms Full HD display
HIGHLIGHTS

OnePlus 5 is expected to launch in the next few weeks and is tipped to feature a dual-rear camera setup.

OnePlus may indeed stick with a Full HD and not switch to a QHD display with its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 5. OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau has indirectly confirmed the same when he shared a screenshot of the device on his Weibo account. Spotted by Android Headlines, the screenshot was of the device running HydrogenOS. Since Weibo doesn't compress images, Android Headlines found the native resolution of the screenshot to be 1920 x 1080 pixels, which more or less confirms that the OnePlus 5 may ship with a Full HD display. OnePlus has already confirmed that its next flagship will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chipset and feature a front-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The handset is rumoured to feature a dual-rear camera setup and the company recently confirmed a partnership with DxOMark to deliver an improved camera experience. The device is also rumoured to launch with an option for up to 8GB RAM and feature an improved version of its Dash Charge technology. A teaser image also suggested that a 3.5mm audio jack will be placed at the top of the device.

OnePlus is expected to officially announce the smartphone sometime this month. While initially leaked teasers hinted at a launch date of June 15, a new leak suggests that the launch may have been pushed to June 20
