Nokia to launch two flagships running SD835 in June?
HIGHLIGHTS

Information circulating the Internet also suggests that the Snapdragon 835 powered device may ditch the Carl Zeiss Camera

Nokia is expected to launch its flagship smartphone in June, at least according to rumours online. There will reportedly be two versions of the flagship device. There may be a difference in screen size, but largely they are expected to have the same specification, including the all new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, coupled with either 4GB or 6GB RAM. The smartphones are expected to follow the new camera trend and have dual-rear cameras. The devices may also have a metallic unibody design. Nokia Mobile itself tweeted that it will not use a Carl Zeiss lens on their phones, so it doesn’t look like we will see it on the device.

The objective of these devices will obviously be to compete with flagship phones launched by Sony, Samsung, Apple, LG, HTC and more, during the course of 2017. We have already seen the unveiling of some of these devices at MWC 2017. Sony showed off its Xperia XZ Premium with a 4K HDR display and some impressive camera tech, whereas LG stuck with a 2K HDR display on the LG G6. Samsung is yet to unveil its Galaxy S8 flagship. Up till now, Sony is the only smartphone maker that has intentions to release a SD 835 powered device.

Coming back to Nokia, the company had quite the presence at MWC 2017. Nokia announced the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and the Nokia 6, which was previously available in China only, will now be available globally. Further, Nokia reintroduced the Nokia 3310 as well.
