Nokia India unveils Asha 205 dual-SIM phone with dedicated Facebook button
Nokia has introduced yet another Asha-series phone in India, the Asha 205. The device is priced at Rs. 3,499 and is slated to hit the store shelves on December 24, 2012.
The Nokia Asha 205 comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and a dedicated Facebook button. The phone also comes with Nokia’s Slam feature, which allows users to share multimedia content such as photos, music, and videos with nearby friends instantly. Slam works with most Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without the need to pair devices, and without the recipient needing to also have Slam.
The Nokia Asha 205 has a 2.4-inch screen with 240 x 320 pixels resolution, 0.3MP camera and supports dual-SIM with easy Swap. It has 64MB built-in storage and microSD card slot that supports storage up to 32GB. For connectivity, the device supports Bluetooth 2.1 EDR with Slam, 2G, GPRS and EDGE. There’s FM Radio with RDS as well.
The new Asha phone comes with a 1,020 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver maximum 2G talk time 11 hours and music playback time of 30 hours. The Asha 205 comes with a number of preloaded applications including Google Talk, Yahoo!, Facebook chat, Windows Live Messenger, eBuddy, Direct chat, Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Nokia Mail, Direct Email, and 40 EA games.
