HIGHLIGHTS

Images of the internals of a prototype Galaxy Note III have leaked online.

There have been a lot of rumours about Samsung’s upcoming phablet, the Galaxy Note III. We have seen some leaked images of the device along with some leaked specifications. Now however, the latest leaked image showcases the internals of the large-screened smartphone.

The leak comes from a Chinese website and showcases the internals of a prototype Galaxy Note III. Samsung is expected to officially unveil the Galaxy Note III in September 2013. The design of the product in the leaked images doesn’t look like the final product. We think the final version of the Note III will be on the lines of the Note II and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 – curved around the edges. There have been a lot of rumours indicating the specifications of the Galaxy Note III. Some sources say that the smartphone will have 3GB of RAM. Other sources say it will have the octa-core processor. We think the phablet will have a 5.99-inch Super AMOLED display, 13MP rear camera, Snapdragon 800 or the Exynos octa-core processor, Wi-Fi, GPS an S-Pen and the latest Android OS along with Samsung’s own TouchWiz interface.

Recently Samsung updated the internals of the Galaxy Note II for the Chinese market. The new model is exclusive to China as of now and there is no word on when the device will launch in other parts of the world. The changes to the hardware of the device include a Snapdragon 600 chipset to support China Mobile’s networks. The Snapdragon 600 chipset supports TD-LTE, something that the Exynos 4412 (housed in the original Note II) doesn’t. The rest of the specifications of the Note II remain the same.
