The Moto G64 5G launches in India as the successor to the Moto G62 5G. It was introduced in India at a starting price of ₹14,999, just a day after the Realme P1 5G was announced in the same price segment. Realme launched the P1 5G in India at ₹15,999 but will be available for ₹14,999 in its first sale. In this article, I will compare these two budget smartphones. If you are considering purchasing a smartphone in this price range, stay tuned for this comparison.

Realme P1 5G has a better display

The Moto G64 5G features a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Realme P1 5G has a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Did you get why Realme has the better display? If not, then the reason is its AMOLED display. The AMOLED display is any day better than an IPS display. It has more colours, consumes less battery, is more responsive, and much more.

Moto G64 5G vs Realme P1 5G

Moto G64 5G nearly matches Realme P1 5G in power but has a better UI

The same series of processors power the Moto G64 5G and the Realme P1 5G. Motorola used India’s first MediaTek Dimensity 7025 processor in the G64 5G. Whereas, the Realme P1 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. Now the difference in both these processors is the Dimensity 7025 has a peak of 2.5 GHz clock speed and the Dimensity 7050 has a slightly higher clock speed of 2.6 GHz.

Moreover, the Moto G64 5G has an advantage in storage. It has up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage and the Realme P1 features only up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Lastly, both smartphones run on Android 14 but only the Moto G64 5G runs on the stock one. The Realme P1 5G features the Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0, which obviously has plenty of pre-loaded apps.

Camera goes to Moto G64 5G for OIS

Both smartphones are equipped with a dual-camera setup. The Realme has a 50-megapixel primary camera with PDAF support and a 2-megapixel Depth sensor. However, the Moto G64 5G has a 50-megapixel primary camera with PDAF and ‘OIS’ support. Apart from that, it has an 8-megapixel Ultrawide lens.

For selfies, both smartphones feature a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.

Battery is a tough competition

The Moto G64 5G packs a 6000mAh battery with up to 33-watt fast charging support. Next, the Realme P1 5G features a 5000mAh battery with up to 45-watt fast charging. Now, I would go for the Realme P1 5G with more fast charging wattage. Apart from that, a bigger battery also means a heavier smartphone.

Moto G64 5G vs Realme P1 5G: Price comparison

Realme launched the Realme P1 5G in India at a starting price of ₹15,999. However, the brand is offering up to ₹2000 launch discount on its first sale. Coming to the Moto G64 5G, it is available on e-commerce platforms from April 23 at a starting price of ₹14,999.
