Microsoft India has tweeted that all phones running on Windows 8.1 will get the much awaited Denim update by the end of this month.
In a reply to a query about the Denim update for Lumia phones in India, Microsoft India tweeted that all Lumia Phones running on Windows 8.1 will get the Denim update by the end of this month. As of now only the Lumia 520 has received the Denim update in the country.
The Denim update will bring features like the voice assistant Cortana, live folders, 4K video recording at 24fps (for 830 and above) and an optimised glanceable screen for your Microsoft apps. The Lumia 830, 930, and 1520 however will be getting the new Lumia camera app as well which came pre-installed in later Windows 8.1 devices.
Microsoft has already announced that all devices running Windows 8.1 will be updated Windows 10 eventually. The company also released a technical preview of Windows 10 for phones running on Windows 8.1. You can check out the Windows 10 for phones technical preview if you have a Lumia 630, 635, 636, 638, 730 and 830.
