The latest addition to Micromax's budget smartphone portfolio, the A89 Ninja is now available online. The device is available for Rs. 6190 and boasts of a dual-core 1GHz processor and Android 4.0 ICS.

The Micromax A89 Ninja, the company’s latest budget ICS smartphone, is now available online for Rs. 6,190. A 1GHz dual-core Mediatek MT6577 SoC processor and 512MB of RAM power the device.

The A89 Ninja has a 4-inch TFT display with a 480×800 pixel resolution It houses a 1450mAh battery, which Micromax claims can last for 170 hours of standby and four hours of talk time.The rear of the A89 houses a 3MP camera and there is no front facing camera.

In terms of connectivity options, the Micromax A89 Ninja has Bluetooth 2.1, 3G, Wi-Fi and USB. It has 4GB of ROM, and built-in storage of 2.07GB expandable via a microSD card. It also supports dual-SIM functionality.

As of writing this article, the device is out of stock on snapdeal as well as flipkart.

Micromax wasn’t kidding when it said that it would add 30 phones to its portfolio in 2013. It started the year with a bang by introducing a successor to the Canvas 2 A110, the A116 Canvas HD. In terms of specifications, the A116 Canvas HD is a powerhouse. To start with, it has a 5-inch IPS display with a 1280×720 pixel resolution. Under the hood, it has a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT 6589 processor along with 1GB of RAM. It also shows off a PowerVR SGX5 GPU. The A116 boasts of dual-SIM capabilities. It has 4GB built-in storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The rear of the device houses an 8MP camera where as the front has a 0.3MP shooter for video chatting. It also has a 2100mAh battery.

The Micromax A116 Canvas HD smartphone is the first smartphone from Micromax’s stable to run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. After launch the device will be upgradable to Android 4.2 JB. No exact price was given for the device but Micromax said that it would be priced under Rs. 15,000. You can take a look at our hands on with the device here.
