The LG G2, the Korean giant's next flagship smartphone, will be unveiled on August 7. QuickWindow cases will be made available for the smartphone in seven colours.
LG has confirmed the G2 smartphone and it will be officially unveiled to the public on August 7. LG has also announced QuickWindow cases for the smartphone, which will protect the front as well as the back of the device. There will be a small opening in the front, that will give you access to the content on the display.
The LG G2 has a 5.2-inch 1080p display and the smartphone runs on a Snapdragon 800 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM. The G2 will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The rear of the smartphone houses a 13MP camera and a 2,540mAh battery powers the entire package.
With the G2, LG is looking to roll out the smartphone faster globally than it has done with previous smartphones. The G2 will hit South Korea in August, USA and Europe in September and the rest of the world by the end of October. The global rollout will be with more than 100 carriers worldwide.
Since smartphone accessories are quite hot these days, LG has also announced the QuickWindow case for the G2. The case will protect the smartphone and will be available in seven colours – Black, white, pink, purple, blue, mint, and yellow. The window in the front of the case will let users view content on the display without the need to lift the cover. The window will give users access to information such as the time, weather, messages, incoming calls, music player and more. The QuickWindow UX interface will let users toggle the information with the swipe of a finger.

The pricing of the LG G2 smartphone as well as the QuickWindow case is still to be announced.
