New rumors suggest that LG might launch the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820-powered G4 Pro in October 2015

New rumors have emerged on the internet, suggesting that LG might launch a G4 Note or a G4 Pro in an October event. Rumours suggested that the company might be launching the new phone(s) at IFA, but that is not the case at the moment. It is rumored that the upcoming devices might be a more premium device than the LG G4, which was launched earlier this year.

It was also reported that LG has trademarked the LG G4 Note moniker in the USA. Latest rumors coming in from South Korea suggest that the G4 lineup may get a new handset featuring replaceable battery cell and a removable plastic cover. This conflicts with the previous rumor we heard about the alleged phone having a metal back with sealed-in battery cell.

The rumor that LG is making a G4 'Pro' has been going around for quite some time now. LG has not done a Pro version of its flagship phone for more than a year. According to current rumors, the phone might run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. The upcoming SoC is expected to rectify the various flaws plaguing its current top-range processor, the Snapdragon 810.

Other than the new SoC, the LG G4 Pro/Note is expected to feature 4GB of RAM and 32/64GB inbuilt storage options. The rear camera is expected to have a 27MP image sensor with optical image stabilization and laser-assisted autofocus, which might actually better the 23MP Exmor R camera Sony introduced on its recently-launched Xperia Z5 lineup. Currently, LG uses a 16MP camera in the LG G4.

There have been no leaked images or screenshots of the LG G4 Pro/Note. While only one smartphone is expected to launch soon, LG might go ahead and launch two different variants, differentiating them as G4 Pro and G4 Note.
