iQOO 3 5G could be the first smartphone from the brand in India.

iQOO was announced as a separate entity from Vivo last month. The company announced plans of introducing its first 5G smartphone in India, in February 2020. Now, IQOO has released an official teaser for the iQOO 3 5G smartphone, which is expected to launch in India soon. The teaser gives us our first look at the device's camera setup. Separately, the smartphone has been spotted on Geekbench as well.

The latest development comes via Weibo, where the company uploaded a teaser for the iQOO 3 5G. The teaser video gives us a glimpse of its design. The handset features a 3.5mm audio jack on the top, which is supplemented by a secondary microphone. Further, the volume rocker and a red-coloured power button seem to be placed on the right side. The image also showcases a quad rear camera setup with an LED flash. On closer inspection, one can observe a 48 Mega Pixel branding. Moreover, iQOO 3 5G is tipped to come with UFS 3.1 storage.

In another instance, iQOO 3 5G has been spotted on Geekbench. The phone uses a motherboard listed as "kona" - the codename for Snapdragon 865 chipset. According to the listing, the iQOO 3 5G will be equipped with 12GB RAM and run on Android 10. However, as per the TENAA listing, it could come in 6GB and 8GB RAM variants. Moreover, some leaked live images of the iQOO 3 last week hinted at the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor and a hole-punch display design.

Looking at the number of leaks and information revealed lately, iQOO 3 5G could be the first smartphone from the brand in India. It is rumoured to launch sometime this month in the country.
