iQOO is all set to expand its iQOO 15 lineup in India. The company recently teased the iQOO 15R, which would be the next big addition to the iQOO 15 family. While the company has not shared the complete details about the smartphone yet, leaks and certifications tell a lot about the upcoming device. If the leaks are to be trusted, then the smartphone could house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset along with 16GB of RAM. Along with that, the device is also expected to come with a large screen with a high refresh rate.

The teaser also gave a small look at the phone’s rear design, showing a checkered pattern, a metal frame, and a dual-camera setup. The design looks similar to the recently launched iQOO Z11 Turbo in China, which suggests both phones could be closely related.

iQOO 15R specifications (Leaked)
The device is anticipated to sport a 6.59-inch AMOLED flat display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, under the bright sunlight, the device is expected to reach a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. The phone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and the Q3 chipset. Moreover, the leaks suggest that it may come with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM coupled with 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage options.
The smartphone is also anticipated to house a 7,600 mAh battery with 100W charging support. Out of the box the device is rumoured to run on OriginOS 6, which is a skin based on Android 16. Leaks also suggest that the device may come with IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance certifications.

In terms of optics, the device is expected to feature a dual camera setup, including a 200MP primary sensor and an 8MP secondary sensor. For selfies and video calls, the device might get a 32MP front camera.
iQOO 15R India launch timeline
Reports and certifications suggest that the iQOO 15R could debut in the Indian market around February. The device has already been spotted in Bluetooth and IMEI databases, which typically happens shortly before an official launch and is fuelling these rumours.
