Indian SAR information spotted in Nokia 6.1 Plus user guide, hints at imminent launch in the country
HIGHLIGHTS

The Indian SAR information about Nokia 6.1 Plus shows that HMD Global may launch the phone in India earlier than previously expected.

Last week, HMD Global launched the Nokia 6.1 Plus in Hong Kong for a price of HKD 2,288 which is approximately Rs 20,000, making it the first country outside China to get the phone. While the imminent launch of the device was already reported for Russia and Taiwan, a new report claims that HMD Global may also be bringing the smartphone to India sooner than expected. According to a report, Nokia 6.1 Plus user guide page has relevant Indian SAR details and has been also been spotted on the official Indian site. While this does not imply that Nokia 6.1 Plus will come to India, the launch cannot be outrightly ruled out.

A report claimed that HMD Global, which holds the rights to the Nokia brand, will launch the Nokia 6.1 Plus in India in August or September. It is not known for sure what specifications will bear in the country. Unlike in China, the company launched the phone under Google’s Android One programme in Hong Kong. It also removed NFC in the Nokia 6.1 Plus and did not unveil the blue variant of the device in the country. In China, the Nokia 6.1 Plus (Nokia X6) is being sold in several configurations, but it may come in one 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration to other global markets as well.
