Google’s latest smartphones, Pixel and Pixel XL, have been listed on Flipkart. Preorders for the new flagship Android smartphones begin on October 13, and Flipkart listings will allow you to key in your email address to be notified when preorders and sales commence, lest you forget. You can only buy the Quite Black and Very Silver colour variants of the two phones, in 32GB and 128GB storage variants. The only really disappointing bit here is that the Really Blue variant is not making its way to India.

To reiterate, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC clocked at 2.15GHz, along with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and the aforementioned native storage variants. Both house AMOLED displays, and while the Pixel sports a 5-inch Full HD display, the Pixel XL has a 5.5-inch, 2K resolution display. The Pixel has a 2770mAh battery, while the Pixel XL has a 3450mAh battery. Both the smartphones house Sony IMX378 Exmor R image sensors capable of shooting 12.3-megapixel photographs and 4K video recording at 30fps. Google has claimed the Pixel phones to be the “best smartphone cameras ever”, quoting a DxOMark rating of 89.

If you have been looking for a flagship smartphone of late, you have a number of choices in Moto Z, Sony Xperia XZ, Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus (which, incidentally, launch tomorrow in India) and more. Google, however, presents its latest devices with Android Nougat 7.1 preinstalled, along with Google Assistant integration, Allo and Duo messaging apps and free unlimited Google Photos storage.

Click here to visit the Flipkart listings, and sign up for a notification when preorders go live on October 13.
