Exclusive: Yu Yureka coming back today at Rs. 7,299 on ValueCart.in

HIGHLIGHTS

ValueCart.in is bringing back unboxed versions of the Yu Yureka smartphone at a lower price along with official warranty.

E-commerce firm ValueCart.in is bringing back the popular Yu Yureka smartphone today. The company has tied up with a partner to bring back the device. The phones to be sold on ValueCart.in will be unboxed versions, but with the original packaging and accessories, and six months manufacturer warranty. The MRP of the phone, which was originally Rs. 8,999, has also been slashed to Rs. 7,299. According to ValueCart, even though it is selling unboxed version, the phones are unused. The sale will begin at 2PM today. This is the first time in months that the Yu Yureka will be sold again. The company has been busy concentrating on its current sub-7k Yu Yuphoria smartphone. The Yureka, which was both a popular and controversial device, earlier sold exclusively on Amazon.in. It sports specifications similar to the OnePlus One, but is altogether less powerful than that device. At its sub-10k pricing though, the Yureka provided a very unique value proposition against any of its competitors. The Yu Yureka runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC, which is not particularly powerful, but ranks above any other SoC in the sub-10k segment. In addition, the phone has a 13MP rear camera and runs on CyanogenMod 12. It has a 5.5 inch 720p IPS display and 16GB internal memory, which can be expanded to 32GB via micro-SD card. There’s also 2GB of RAM.
