Apple may soon increase iPhone 17 price in India by Rs 7,000, here is why
Tipster Yogesh Brar claims the 256GB and 512GB iPhone 17 variants may rise to Rs 89,900 and Rs 1,09,900.
Apple may offset the jump with bank offers, though no official confirmation has been issued yet.
Price hike aligns with industry-wide increases as brands face higher hardware component costs.
The Apple iPhone 17, along with the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, was introduced in September, bringing some massive upgrades over the iPhone. However, the company ditched the 128GB variant, and 256GB became the base variant with a slight price increase of around Rs 3,000 compared to the iPhone 16. Now, according to reports citing tipsters, Apple could increase the price of all iPhone 17 variants in India.
SurveySpeaking of the reason, tipster Yogesh Brar stated that the device is in high demand, and the brand is running low on stock.
Apple iPhone 17 price hike in India
According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the iPhone 17 may get a massive price hike and the base 256GB and 512GB storage variants could get a Rs 7,000 price hike. If true, both the variants will cost buyers Rs 89,900 and Rs 1,09,900, respectively. And if it happens, it will reduce the price gap between the vanilla trim and iPhone Air, which is currently selling at around Rs 1,12,900 during the Black Friday sale.

Upto Rs 7k increase is expected on both SKUs
New pricing might be Rs 89,990 (bank discounts extra)
Low stock in circulation, high demand..
The move comes after almost all smartphone makers have increased the prices of their devices due to increase in hardware components costs. For those unaware, the iQOO 15 was introduced with Rs 18,000 increase over its predecessor, the Realme GT 8 Pro saw Rs 13,000 increase while the Find X9 and OnePlus 15 saw Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 increase compared to last year’s prices.
However, Apple may still offer bank discounts to help customers save up some increased cost, according to the tipster. It must be noted that Apple has not confirmed the iPhone 17 price hike at the moment and we may have to wait for the details.
Additionally, the tipster did not mention the prices of iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
