Apple iPad Mini to launch with its first ever OLED panel in 2027: Report
Apple is expected to bring its first-ever OLED display to the upcoming iPad mini.
New iPad Air, iPad, and iPad Pro models are also reportedly in development.
Apple has recently increased the prices of its current iPad lineup in India.
Apple is reportedly preparing the biggest upgrade to the iPad mini in nearly five years, with the compact tablet expected to receive its first-ever OLED display. When compared to the existing LCD panel, this new display will apparently provide more vibrant colours, deeper black, better contrast and overall improved image quality, making the iPad mini close to being part of the high-end line-up. Apart from this display upgrade colour, Apple is also rumoured to be developing newer models of the iPad Air, the basic iPad, and the iPad Pro. In case the rumours turn out to be true, this would certainly be among the major tablet upgrades by Apple in recent times.
SurveyiPad Mini: Display
According to a recent report by Bloomberg, the upcoming iPad mini, which is internally known by the code name J510, is expected to feature an OLED display for the first time. While Apple has already adopted OLED technology on iPhones and more recently on the iPad Pro, the other iPads were still lacking.
The compact tablet has largely remained unchanged since its redesign way back in 2021. Apart from a processor upgrade introduced two years later. The OLED display is expected to be the headline feature of this year’s model.

The new iPad Air is expected to come in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes and launch in the spring. Apple is also expected to release updated iPad Pro models and new Apple Pencil accessories around the same time.
