The Alcatel X1 was the first smartphone to be launched with Android Oreo (Go Edition). It is powered by a MediaTek quad core processor with 1GB RAM.

Alcatel showcased the first Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphone, the Alcatel 1X, at MWC 2018 and the company has now announced that the phone will soon be making its way to India. The lightweight operating system is designed specifically for smartphones running on low end specs. The company will be revealing the device’s price in india when it unveils the phone in the country. The smartphone features a taller 18:9 display aspect ratio, and comes pre-loaded with the Go series of apps like Google Go, Google Maps Go, YouTube Go and more, which are optimised to run on devices with less powerful hardware.

The Alcatel X1 is powered by a MediaTek quad core processor and comes with 1GB RAM. It features a 5.3-inch display with a 960 x 480p resolution and sports a fingerprint scanner on the rear. The phone packs a 13MP sensor on the rear and on the front, it is equipped with an 8MP camera. Both the cameras come with a dedicated LED flash. The device is backed by a 2460mAh battery and it supports VoLTE as well.

Apart from Alcatel, other smartphone manufacturers like Nokia, Micromax and Lava have also announced their Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphones.
