Fujitsu launches two business-oriented ultrabooks in India, starting Rs. 65,000

Fujitsu India has launched two ultrabooks (U772 and UH572) in the country, models ‘designed from the ground up for the needs of professionals.’

Both sleek Fujitsu ultrabooks are based on Intel Ivy Bridge processors, and have been given anti-glare displays, as well as optional embedded 3G/UMTS and Bluetooth for connectivity on-the-go.

The Fujitsu Lifebook UH572 starts from Rs. 65,000. It weighs in at 1.6 kgs, and is roughly 18mm thick. The UH572’s 13.3-inch LED-backlit display has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. It ships with a choice of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit or Home Premium 64-bit. Two processor choices are available Core i5-3317U (1.7 GHz) or Core i7-3517U (1.9 GHz), coupled with Intel HD Graphics 4000. Maximum memory supported is 8GB of DDR3 1600MHz. The base model features a 5400 rpm 320 GB hard drive, and up to 500GB is available. SSD options are also available, up to 256GB SATA III. It has one USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.0 ports, and one HDMI port. It also comes with a built-in HD webcam, and provides up to 7.5 hours of battery life.

The Fujitsu Lifebook U772 starts from Rs. 75,900. It weighs in at 1.4 kgs, and is roughly 15.6mm thick. Its 14-inch LED-backlit display has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. It ships with a choice of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit or Home Premium 64-bit. Processor choices include Core i5-3317U (1.7 GHz), Core i5-3427U (1.8 GHz), and Core i7-3667U (2.0 GHz), coupled with Intel HD Graphics 4000. Maximum memory supported is 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM. The base model features a 5400 rpm 320 GB hard drive, and up to 500GB is available. SSD options are also available, up to 256GB SATA III. A 32GB I-SSD cache drive is present in both configurations. It features one USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.0 ports, and one HDMI port. Battery life is up to 10 hours.
