Apple has officially unveiled the all-new 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M5 chip, and it’s now available for pre-order in India. The latest addition to Apple’s Pro lineup is being touted as the company’s “next big leap in AI for the Mac,” delivering up to 3.5x faster AI performance and 1.6x faster graphics compared to the previous generation.

Apple MacBook Pro M5 India price and pre-order details
The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 chip price starts from ₹1,69,900 in India, while students can grab it for a Rs 10,000 discount under Apple’s education offer. The laptop is available in Space Black and Silver, and pre-orders are live now on apple.com/in and the Apple Store app.
Deliveries will begin on October 22, with the laptop also reaching Apple Authorised Resellers the same day. Customers can also trade in their old Mac for credit towards the new model, or opt for AppleCare+ for additional protection.
Apple MacBook Pro M5: Specs and features
The new 14-inch MacBook Pro features Apple’s signature Liquid Retina XDR display, offering 1600 nits of peak HDR brightness, along with a 12MP Center Stage camera, six-speaker sound system with Spatial Audio, and an array of connectivity options for professionals.
Under the hood, the M5 chip includes a 10-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine, and over 150GB/s of unified memory bandwidth. This all is designed to accelerate AI tasks, video editing, 3D rendering, and gaming. Apple claims that the new model offers up to 7.7x faster AI video enhancement and 6.8x faster 3D rendering when compared to the older Intel-based MacBook Pro models.
The laptop also comes equipped with macOS Tahoe, bringing cleaner visuals, customisable widgets, and tighter integration with Apple Intelligence. Users will also get features like Live Translation for real-time communication and smarter automation in apps via Shortcuts.
Coming to battery life, the new MacBook Pro promises up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge, with support for fast charging that can power the device up to 50% in just 30 minutes using a 96W or higher USB-C adapter.
