Xiaomi India has officially introduced a refreshed brand identity for its sub-brand, Redmi, after an 11-year journey in the country. This comes weeks ahead of the launch of the Redmi 15 series on August 19. With this, the brand seems to be signalling a new beginning amid the declining sales graph.

The updated brand identity features a redesigned logo and visual aesthetic, which the company claims reflects Redmi’s evolution from an entry-level manufacturer to a technology brand focused on performance, value, and long-term relevance. With this, the brand appears to be responding to India’s rapidly changing digital landscape, where young consumers are constantly looking for more.

“Redmi has always stood for making the impossible possible. Over the past decade, we were often the first smartphone for millions of Indians. Their trust and feedback shaped our path,” said Sudhin Mathur, Chief Operating Officer, Xiaomi India. “The new Redmi identity reflects this shared evolution. As our users grow, we grow. As they dream bigger, we continue to build for them,” he added.

Xiaomi claims to have sold over 220 million Redmi devices in India, with global shipments totalling 1.1 billion. The brand already offers category-defining devices, such as the Redmi Note series.

Furthermore, the brand claims that the Redmi 125G and Redmi 13 5G series contributed to the mainstream adoption of 5G technology. The upcoming Redmi 15 will be the first to feature the brand’s new design identity, highlighting the next phase.

The Redmi 15 is confirmed to get the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset. It will feature a 6.9-inch FHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a massive 7,000 mAh battery. It will feature smart AI features and a 50MP AI camera. It will also get IP64 certification for dust and splash resistance. It will debut in three colours- Frosted White, Sandy Purple, and Midnight Black.
