Xiaomi launches Mi TV 4S, Mi AI Speaker Mini in China

Xiaomi has launched a couple of new products like the Mi TV 4S and the Mi AI Speaker Mini in China. The company announced the Speaker Mini alongside the Mi Mix 2S and the Mi Gaming laptop on Tuesday and the new Television was announced today. Both the devices come with AI features as the Mi TV 4S comes with Patchwall artificial intelligent voice system whereas the AI Speaker Mini supports voice commands and comes with a digital assistant as well. 

Getting into the details of the Mi TV 4S, it is a 55-inch smart TV which supports 4K HDR display with a 3840x2160p resolution. It is powered by a 1.5GHz 64-bit quad-core Amlogic Cortex-A53 processor with 2GB RAM and sports a viewing angle of 178-degree, has a direct type backlight and boasts of 8ms dynamic response time with a refresh rate of 60Hz. It comes with an inbuilt storage of 8GB and for connectivity options includes Bluetooth 4.2 + LE, USB port, HDMI port, AV port, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Ethernet. It is equipped with two 8W stereo speakers and the device supports both DTS and Dolby Audio. It is priced at CNY 2,999 (Rs 31,100 approx) in China and it’s not known yet whether the company will launch it in india or not. 

The Mi AI Speaker Mini is priced at CNY 169 (Rs 1,800 approx), comes in a White colour variant and is aimed to take on other smart speakers like Google Home Mini, Amazon Echo Dot, and Apple HomePod. The device supports voice commands and comes with a digital assistant which will allow users to control other Xiaomi products. It comes with four buttons on top, which going by the images posted by the company, allows uses to Play, Pause, Activate and Next. Being AI enabled, it allows users to access 35 million songs and books, check traffic, schedules and set reminders as well.
