Elon Musk’s Artificial Intelligence vertical, xAI has announced its AI model and calls itself ‘Grok’.
This artificial intelligence vertical was launched in July this year.
Unlike Chat GPT and other AI models, Grok will get real-time access to information from X.
Artificial Intelligence is the trend of the day and big companies are picking on it. With competition increasing, companies are bidding against each other to come up with a better AI bot. And Elon Musk being Elon Musk, is not one to stay behind. Now, Musk’s Artificial Intelligence vertical, xAI has announced its AI model and calls itself ‘Grok’. Let’s find out more about it.
What is Grok?
Grok is xAI’s debut AI model. Musk shared a sneak peek of the same. In an X post, he said, “Grok has real-time access to info via the X platform, which is a massive advantage over other models. It’s also based & loves sarcasm. I have no idea who could have guided it this way.”

Grok is a product of xAI. This artificial intelligence vertical was launched in July this year. It comprises members who were previously associated with Google’s DeepMind, Microsoft, and other prominent AI research organisations. The name might suggest that X and xAI are a part of the same team, but they operate separately and keep collaborating on different things. On top of that, it also collaborates with Musk’s other companies like Tesla.
What makes Grok stand out?
Unlike Chat GPT and other AI models, Grok will get real-time access to information from X (formerly Twitter) as well.
In his unique way, Musk shared an image along with his tweet where he asked Grok to share a “step-by-step guide on making cocaine”. Grok has been giving inputs to not slide away from sensitive inputs. It responded by saying that one should stay away from illegal activities. Just like Chat GPT provides witty answers to our dumbest questions, Grok responds in a funny and sarcastic way.

Can you use Grok?
Grok is still in its beta testing phase currently and is not out for everyone. Once it is officially launched, only those who have the X Premium subscriptions will be able to access it.
