SanDisk has officially introduced the WD_BLACK SN7100 NVMe SSD in India. Specifically designed for gamers and users who need high-speed storage, the storage device is built on TLC 3D NAND architecture and supports PCIe Gen 4. It is available in multiple storage variants, offering up to 4TB storage capacity and faster performance than its predecessor.
Coming to the transfer speeds, the company claims that the 1TB and 2TB variants offer read speeds of up to 7,250MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,900MB/s, which is 35 per cent better performance improvement compared to its predecessor.
The company states the SSD is designed for the gaming laptops, desktops, and handheld consoles and is more power efficient with a claimed 100% improvement in power usage during peak performance. Additionally, the 4TB model is rated with an endurance of up to 1,200TBW (terabytes written), which may support sustained usage such as gameplay recording and content creation.

Speaking of the variants, the SN7100 is available in four different variants including the 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities. The device also offers DRAM-less design and includes software support through the WD_BLACK Dashboard for system health checks and firmware updates. The customers can also get 5 year limited warranty.
