Samsung is all set to roll out the beta version of One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series. However, leaks hint that the brightness and volume sliders will get a new design, the lock screen media controls will work better and there will be some glass-like visual effects to give the phone a more modern feel. One UI 9 is also expected to make multitasking smoother, improve privacy and security, and add new creative tools to apps like Samsung Notes and Contacts. One UI 9 design changes

One UI 9 may not bring a complete visual overhaul, but reports suggest Samsung is working on cleaner and more polished interface elements. Users could see refreshed brightness and volume sliders along with a redesigned media player on the lock screen. Playback controls may also receive small changes for easier access.

Samsung is also expected to add more customisation options inside the Quick Panel. Users may be able to adjust brightness, sound, and media controls separately with flexible sizing options. Some reports also hint at glass-like visual effects that could make the interface look more modern.

One UI 9 features

Galaxy S26 Ultra

Samsung Notes is expected to receive new creative tools such as decorative tapes and additional pen styles. The Contacts app may also get direct integration with Creative Studio, allowing users to create personalised contact cards without switching apps.

The update could improve multitasking by allowing apps to open in floating bubbles. One UI 9 is also tipped to bring better app scaling across different screen sizes.

In terms of privacy Samsung could also bring an enhanced contacts picker feature that allows users to select which contacts can be shared rather than sharing all contacts at once.

Along with that, users can also expect improved protection against suspicious apps, which is also expected, with the system warning users and blocking risky apps from running.
