Jiohotstar has updated its subscription plans in India to make streaming more affordable and flexible. The platform has introduced monthly plans across all its tiers for the first time. Prices now start at just Rs 79 per month, making it one of the lowest entry points for online streaming in the country. The new pricing applies not only to mobile users but also to super and premium subscribers. According to the company, the update is based on how people watch content today, with many users switching between mobile phones, laptops, and televisions. The new plans will be available for new users from January 28. Existing users can continue with their current plans as long as auto-renewal remains active.
SurveyMobile plans now start at Rs 79 per month
The mobile plan has been made the cheapest option available from JioHotstar, as it will only cost Rs 79 per month. The users on this plan will be allowed to stream their favourite shows on one mobile device only. The plan sports HD quality with advertisements during streaming.
In addition to this, it also offers a mobile data plan to users in case they prefer to have longer data plans. The mobile data plan will be priced at Rs 149 for three months and Rs 499 for one year. The plan is suited to users who mainly view their content on mobiles. However, do note that the Hollywood content is not included in the basic mobile plan.

Hollywood content available as an add-on for mobile users
JioHotstar has added a separate option for mobile users who want access to Hollywood movies and shows. This add-on can be purchased along with the mobile plan. The Hollywood add-on costs Rs 49 per month. It is also available at Rs 129 for three months and Rs 399 for one year. This allows users to pay only for the type of content they want to watch, without increasing the base plan price.

JioHotstar Super Plan details
Other than the mobile plan, users can also choose the super plan, which is priced at Rs 149 per month. It allows users to stream on two devices at the same time. The plan works on mobile phones, web browsers, and smart televisions.
The plan allows the users to stream the content in full HD quality. Alongside good quality, the plan also boasts Hollywood movies and shows without any extra charge. It is suitable for couples or small families who use more than one screen.

JioHotstar premium plan details
Jiohotstar also allows users a premium plan which costs Rs 299 per month. The plan allows users to stream their favourite content on up to four devices at the same time. Furthermore, users can enjoy the content in the highest quality available on the platform. The plan offers very limited ads, except during live sports and live shows. Quarterly and yearly plans are also available for users who prefer long-term subscriptions.
