JioHotstar, which combines JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar content, has been officially launched following a series of teasers. The new streaming platform will provide a wide range of content from both domestic and international studios. For those unfamiliar, JioHotstar is a joint venture formed in November following the merger of Viacom18 and Star India.

The new platform now provides over 300,000 hours of content, which includes blockbuster movies, popular TV shows, and live sporting events. It is now one of the largest streaming platforms, with over 50 crore users.

JioHotstar plans

Existing subscribers will be able to log in with their old credentials. Additionally, new subscribers will be able to choose from Mobile, Super, and Premium plans.

Mobile Plan: Rs 149 for 3 months, Rs 499 per year (ad-supported, HD streaming on 1 mobile device).

Super Plan: Rs 299 for 3 months or Rs 899 for a year (ad-supported, FHD streaming on 2 devices).

Premium Plan: Rs 299 per month (web purchase only), Rs 499 for three months, or Rs 1,499 per year (ad-free except for live content and 4K streaming on four devices).

Streaming library

The platform will support 10 Indian languages and offer content in a variety of genres such as movies, TV shows, anime, documentaries, and live sports. Users will have access to content from Disney, NBCUniversal, Peacock, Warner Bros, and other sources.

Users will be able to watch IPL, WPL, and ICC events, as well as other international events, in 4K. The platform also includes a variety of AI features such as real-time analysis, multi-angle view, and more.
