Bharti Airtel and Blinkit, a fast delivery platform, have teamed up to provide SIM cards to consumers in as little as ten minutes. Through the new partnership, the telecom giant hopes to provide users with easy accessibility by accelerating the lengthy and traditional SIM card delivery and number activation process. The service is currently only available in 16 major Indian cities, yet plans are in the works to increase accessibility in the upcoming months. Airtel SIM cards in 10 minutes
The service is currently operational in Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Sonipat, Ahmedabad, Surat, Chennai, Bhopal, Indore, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Hyderabad, according to the company’s official announcement. Later on, it will be extended to other cities.

How to order
Customers can search for an Airtel SIM card on Blinkit and pay a small convenience fee of Rs 49 to have it delivered in 10 minutes. It is important to note that the service allows users to order both prepaid and postpaid SIM cards. Customers can also choose mobile number portability (MNP) to easily move to the Airtel Network.

How to activate the SIM
Soon after getting the SIM delivered, the users can simply activate it via Aadhaar-based eKYC. The company has also offered a simple activation process with a guided online video. Do note that the SIM must be activated within 15 days of delivery.
