CES 2015: Samsung launches SUHD TVs and external SSDs
Samsung shows off a 1TB external SSD, curved gaming monitor and new range of SUHD TVs.
Samsung unveiled its latest SHUD TV lineup, a new curved monitor and a new range of portable SSD’s at the ongoing CES 2015.
SHUD TV lineup
Samsung unveiled the JS9500, JS9000 and JS8500 which are 4K TVs with sizes ranging from 48-inches to 88-inches. The new TV range boast of 'nanocrystal' technology – small crystals applied to the blue LEDs which helps achieve a brighter and wider range of colors.
SE790C gaming monitor
Samsung also announced its latest curved gaming monitor. The SE790C is a 34-inch gaming monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio. The monitor offers 3,000:1 contrast ratio and a 4ms response time. The monitor also has 2 x 7W speakers built in.
Samsung portable SSD T1
Samsung also announced the SSD T1 range of external storage devices. The range includes 256GB, 500GB and 1TB storage options and will retail from $179 (Rs. 11,350) to $599 (Rs. 37,980). These portable drives have a small footprint and weigh just about 30 grams.
