Apple confirmed its ‘Welcome Home’ event just a few hours ago, where the iPhone maker is expected to introduce a range of home devices, including a smart home hub with a display, a new HomePod mini and an upgraded Apple TV set-top box. However, Apple may not stop here and could host another event later this month. According to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the company is planning another product launch on or around October 27. The event could focus on the company’s first touchscreen MacBook and a new iPad mini.

Apple October 27 event: What to expect

As per Gurman, Apple may hold its second October launch on or around October 27. Like the upcoming ‘Welcome Home’ event on October 13, the launch could include an online video presentation and an in-person event for the press.

One of the biggest highlights of the event is expected to be Apple’s first touchscreen MacBook Pro models. The upcoming 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are expected to feature OLED displays, which offer improved picture quality compared to LCD screens.

The laptops could also feature the Dynamic Island interface, which Apple currently uses on its iPhones. The new models are expected to be lighter than the existing versions.

Apple is also said to launch a new iPad mini featuring an OLED display, a repositioned FaceTime camera and a revamped speaker system.

Alongside these devices, the company is expected to introduce a new iMac and an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M6 chip. Both models are reportedly expected to retain the design of their current versions.

According to Bloomberg, the upcoming launch will be “geared toward creative professionals who work in video production, photo editing and music production.”

Meanwhile, the iPhone-maker is currently preparing to host its Welcome home event on October 13 at 6:30 PM IST. At this event, the company may launch a smart home hub with display, a new HomePod mini and a new Apple TV set-top box.
