By embedding the more robust models directly onto devices, users won’t require continuous connectivity for certain AI-driven features, thereby enhancing both user experience and privacy.

Google’s Gemini Ultra, boasting an impressive 1.56 trillion parameters, is an AI model rivalling OpenAI’s GPT-4 in language understanding and generation capabilities. Integrating Gemini Ultra could introduce a range of new features and functionalities for Android users.

Google is making substantial investments in AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants. An example of this commitment is the rebranding of Google’s Bard to Gemini.

This investment aligns with CEO Sundar Pichai’s vision of a unified AI agent capable of seamlessly assisting users throughout the Google ecosystem.

The integration of advanced AI models into Android phones in 2025 represents a potential transition toward a more intelligent and personalised mobile experience.

In related news, Google recently announced that with the Google One AI Premium plan, you can get more creative and productive using Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets and Meet. This means that you can access Gemini capabilities directly within the Google products you’re already using, and get more done without jumping between tabs or apps.

For example, you can get help from Gemini for writing an invitation in Gmail, drafting a trip itinerary in Docs, building a family budget in Sheets or creating a vision board for a kitchen remodel in Slides.
