OpenAI recently unveiled its text-to-video model ‘Sora’. According to OpenAI, Sora can generate videos up to a minute long while maintaining visual quality and adherence to the user’s prompt. While Sora caught everyone’s attention from its capabilities, there’s an important part that is missing: Audio. To fill that gap, ElevenLabs has unveiled an AI sound generator.
ElevenLabs shared a brief video clip featuring AI-generated sound on X (formerly known as Twitter). Notably, the company utilised videos generated by OpenAI’s Sora. While Sora is capable of creating lifelike videos, it currently lacks the ability to generate sound.

“We were blown away by the Sora announcement but felt it needed something…,” ElevenLabs wrote on X.

According to the company, you can create sound effects by just describing them.
While the new AI sound generator tool is not available to the public yet, you can join the waitlist for early access. It’s important to note that when this tool will be released is still unknown.
