Highlights:
- PUBG Mobile’s stable version 0.11.0 update could be rolled in February.
- The new version brings Zombie Mode to the game.
- There will reportedly be another “big event” that is slated to come soon.
PUBG Mobile was recently updated to version 0.11.0 in the beta version and it brings a new Zombie Mode called RE2: Sunset to the game. This new mode is expected to be made available for all players soon when the game exits beta. As per a video by the YouTuber Mr.Ghost Gaming, the stable update for the title with Zombie Mode will be released globally before February 10. This is not official yet, but the uploader adds that another “big event” is coming soon, about which details will come later.
The video also says that there will be some new weapons that will be available only when playing the new Zombie mode. There is a new minigun called M134 that uses 7.62mm bullets, a combat knife and a Flamethrower. As per the report, playing the game in the new mode won’t affect a player’s ranking and it is only playable from a Third-Person Perspective view. Apparently, instead of 100, 59-60 players will join the map for playing in the new Zombie Mode.
Previous reports suggested that the new Zombie Mode for PUBG Mobile will be released alongside the global launch of Resident Evil 2 on January 25. However, that didn’t happen and it was released with the new beta. The new Zombie Mode is a limited time event that is available only on the Erangel map. The new mode introduces zombies and bosses from Resident Evil 2 on the map and killing them gives guns, resources and items. However, the player needs to be wary of their opponents as well.
There is also a new weather mode added to Vikendi with the beta update that was earlier made available for the PC version of the game. The new weather mode is called Moonlight and is said to be slightly dissimilar to the night mode that’s available in Erangel, as when it’s dark, it isn’t pitch black. The new beta version 0.11.0 update also adds push-to-talk chat option in matches, along with a feature called Personal Spaces, which displays the player information and connections. Additionally, the Sanhok map is now available under Arcade Mode in Quick Match.
