GTA 6 price officially out: Here are the editions and how much they cost
Rockstar Games has confirmed Grand Theft Auto VI will cost $79.99
Pre-orders open at midnight on 25 June
Anyone who pre-orders or buys before 20 November gets the Vintage Vice City Pack
Rockstar Games has finally answered one of the most anticipated questions surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI: how much it will cost. The standard edition is priced at $79.99, while the Ultimate Edition costs $99.99. The pre-orders open at midnight on 25 June and the game launches on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S.
SurveyThe GTA VI pricing arrives after months of speculation, with some analysts suggesting the game could be priced as high as $100. The GTA 6 price revealed to be $79.99 lands on the higher end of typical pricing but stops short of the most extreme predictions. It also breaks from the long-standing $69.99 price point that most AAA console games have settled on in recent years and given GTA’s commercial weight, it could push other publishers toward similar pricing on future major releases.
GTA 6 pre-order: What you get with each edition
The Ultimate Edition builds on the base game with an exclusive collection of vehicles, weapons and apparel woven into the story of protagonists Jason and Lucia. This includes unique vehicles, matching revolvers for the pair, additional customisation options for guns, vehicles and clothing, exclusive tattoos and outfits, and access to special in-game stores throughout the story.
Anyone who pre-orders or purchases either edition before 20 November will also receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, a nostalgia-driven bonus inspired by 2002’s GTA: Vice City. It includes a ’55 Vapid Stanier sedan, a dedicated garage on Ocean Beach, retro outfits and hairstyles for both playable characters and a weapon skin referencing Tommy Vercetti’s iconic shirt from that game. Digital pre-orders additionally come with one free month of GTA+.
GTA 6 Physical edition and pre-loading
Both digital and physical editions will be available at launch, though physical copies come with a twist: rather than a traditional disc, the box will contain a download code. The digital pre-orders can begin pre-loading from 12 November to ensure the game is ready to play at launch on 19 November. Physical copies will also be available from 12 November to support the same pre-loading window.
Grand Theft Auto VI arrives more than a decade after Grand Theft Auto V and is positioned as a single-player experience set in a modern-day Vice City. No India-specific pricing has been announced yet; the figures confirmed so far are in US dollars, with regional pricing for other markets typically following closer to launch.
