God of War: Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine Coming To PS5

The sequel to 2018’s God of War reboot titled God of War: Ragnarok is coming to PS4 and PS5 in October 2022. The series follows the journey of the former Greek God of War Kratos and his son Atreus through the mystical Norse lands. The new game shows a mature Atreus and armoured up Kratos fighting a bunch of mythological monsters. If the past is anything to go by, we should be ready for an adventure of truly epic proportions.

Spider-Man 2, a sequel to the Spider-man PS4 was the second biggest announcement from Sony. The game includes both protagonists from the recent Spider-man games including Peter Parker and Miles Morales. The new Spider-Man sequel will feature Kraven The Hunter as the main protagonist and also includes Venom as an additional boss character. Spider-Man 2 is launching on PS5 in 2023.

Another surprising announcement from Sony was the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake which will essentially tell the same story but with updated mechanics and graphics. On the same list, we can also include Marvel’s Wolverine, which is a brand new IP in development at Sony’s Insomniac studio, the same developer responsible for the PlayStation’s Spider-Man series.

Other PS5 exclusive titles announced during the Sony event include Gran Turismo 7, Tchia, and Forspoken. Additional 3rd party AAA titles also made their way to the PlayStation showcase as timed exclusives. Project Eve, a cross between DMC, Bayonetta and Nier Automata, caught gamer’s attention during the event. A vampire-based Free-to-Play Battle Royale game set in The Masquerade universe timeline is also coming on PS5 later this year. Lastly, the popular Xbox 360 title, Alan Wake is getting a remaster for all the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.
