Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 5: New characters and weapons

One of the key additions is the return of operator Sims, seen in early teasers wielding a new weapon, speculated to be the M249 LMG. However, developers have confirmed the gun is the newly introduced PML 5.56. Also joining the Season 5 arsenal are the ABR A1 assault rifle, available at launch, and the Gravemark .357 revolver, which will arrive mid-season. A surprise melee addition of boxing gloves to close-range combat will also be made available.

Additionally, the new season will bring three new maps, including a reimagined version of the iconic WMD battleground, to the multiplayer. Later in the season, players can access Jackpot, a high-stakes casino-inspired map based on Black Ops 4’s popular setting.

In Zombies mode, players will get access to the futuristic Gorgofex energy weapon and face off against a formidable new boss: Uber Klaus, a towering undead enemy equipped with a mechanised exosuit.

Further, there will also be several new and returning game modes. Aim High, a new mode focused solely on headshot damage, introduces a fresh skill-based challenge. Meanwhile, Snipers Only and Cranked Moshpit are returning fan-favourite playlists set to rotate throughout the season.

Beyond Black Ops 6 and Warzone, Activision also confirmed that two legacy Call of Duty titles will be re-released as standalone games, adding a nostalgic bonus for long-time fans of the franchise.
