Multiplayer gameplay and first live streams will roll out on July 31 and August 2, respectively.
Electronic Arts, also known as EA has officially announced its next generation shooting game, the Battlefield 6. After series of leaks and speculations, the fans will finally get to see the shooter game’s massive comeback after a four year gap. This comes after the company shared a cinematic trailer hinting at some great action including warfare, destructible environments and of course, the large-scale combat.
SurveyThe game is set against the backdrop of a near-future global conflict and will introduce a private military force called Pax Armata, reportedly backed by former NATO states. The faction sets the stage for the game’s return to a full-fledged single-player campaign, a feature missing in Battlefield 2042. The campaign narrative, hinted at in the trailer, includes dramatic sequences such as an attack on the USA, with iconic landmarks like the Brooklyn Bridge in ruins.
If you have been missing some old features, EA has confirmed that Battlefield 6 will bring back the classic features such as traditional class systems and 64-player multiplayer battles. The game is also expected to promise intense firefights across land and air with tanks, jets, and destroyed buildings in the gameplay.
EA has also stated that a dedicated multiplayer reveal event has been scheduled for July 31, where EA will show a detailed footage of the game and features. Additionally, there will be a follow up event, which is planned for August 2, during which the streamers and creators will go live with the first ever gameplay streams. The events will be broadcast on YouTube and Twitch.
Speaking of the launch timeline, the Battlefield 6 is said to launch next year. If the reports are believed to be true, the game may make its global debut in October. You can even add the title in your wishlist for your PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
