The Legend of Kitchen Soldier: Plot
Kang Min-ho who is a disciplined elite Special Forces soldier, finds his life upended after a mission gone wrong. Seeking a quiet life, he hides his identity and takes a job as a lowly prep cook at Gourmet Palace, a prestigious restaurant embroiled in a cutthroat corporate takeover.
The kitchen becomes a very different battleground altogether. Min-ho has to leave his guns behind for a chef’s knife and use his military tactics and precision skills to learn all about the culinary world. He will have to face off against the icy and perfectionistic Head Chef Lee Seo-yeon, who comes to realize that his combat-readiness is what they need to win at the coming National Culinary Grand Prix.
Mixing in a whole lot of action along with the tasty ingredients, the show highlights redemption and discipline. Min-ho has to defend his newly formed platoon of chefs against dark forces from his own past.
