Unlike origin stories, which start with the beginning of a hero, this version has an established Superman, essayed by David Corenswet, who faces every moral dilemma that arises while fighting his most powerful adversary, Lex Luthor, played by Nicholas Hoult. Superman OTT release: Plot

Written and directed by DC Studios’ co-CEO James Gunn, Superman is the first film to kick off the DC Cinematic Universe’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters storyline. The film stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent, a Daily Planet journalist trying to balance out his Earth upbringing against his Kryptonian heritage.

The story follows Superman as he faces the aftermath of a global catastrophe engineered by his archenemy, Lex Luthor, played by Nicholas Hoult. Meanwhile, Rachel Brosnahan portrays Lois Lane, a bold reporter whose early skepticism about Clark makes way for unwavering support when she becomes one of his closest allies.

Unlike most origin stories, this version introduces a world where Superman is an actively working hero who is still learning, growing, and coming to terms with his morals.
