Toshiba gets set to launch two glasses-free 3DTVs by December

Toshiba recently was in the news for announcing that it would not be producing OLED displays anymore, and now, it’s back with the announcement that it will be releasing two autostereoscopic (not requiring glasses) 3D televisions in Japan in December.

[RELATED_ARTICLE]The autostereoscopic displays as expected will not be very large, and will be available in 12-inch and 20-inch models. They are said to be priced at around ¥120,000 (US$1,430) and ¥240,000 ($2,900) respectively. Using the multi-parallax barrier approach they showcased a few months back, Toshiba’s glasses-free 3D displays will split light into nine points, and are powered by the 3D Cell Rezga Engine.
